Earlier this month on the International Women’s Day, In Her Words Anthology was launched in collaboration with Agbowo. 

“In Her Words: African Women’s Perspectives on Gender Equality,” is a collection of essays that are equal parts thought provoking and witty from young women across the African continent and the diaspora. It featured 15 women from 7 countries. You may download here  

On Friday evening by 7pm, ArtsnChill’s Habeeb Kolade and Tosin Babatunde-Olotu will be in conversation with the In Her Words team comprising Zainab Haruna, Tawakalit Kareem, Ujenyu Joy Sani, Omolayo Nkem Ojo and Isatou Jallow. 

This conversation focuses on how the team came together to produce to magnificent collection, how the reception has been, what it means to them and how they are steering the conversations around gender in Africa.
